The semi-automatic screen printer Buran B073 is designed for applying solder paste through a stencil to printed circuit boards and works autonomously. This printer is the best option for pilot, small-scale and multi-nomenclature productions, as it provides quick change-over from one product to another, and also demonstrates high speed, which can be further improved by installing additional options that automate the process.

The printer has an original patented design and consists of a table with an electric lift and a unit for applying the composition, which includes a frame fastening mechanism, a doctor blade system with an electric drive and a doctor blade with a pneumatic drive of doctor blades.

The process proceeds in several stages. The stencil, stretched on a special frame, is installed in the printer, doctor blades are fixed, solder paste is applied and the print unit is removed in the back position, freeing up space for the board to be installed. The board is placed on the table, clamped, positioned, other processes occur automatically. The work unit moves to the front position, the table with the board rises to the application position, pressure is applied to the doctor blades and the doctor blade at a given speed presses the solder paste onto the base. Then the table with the board lowers at a given speed and the work unit retracts to the rear position, freeing up space for removing the board and installing a new one.

The circuit board is clamped using a pneumatic system. The printer allows you to adjust the clamping force of the boards. This setting is done using a special knob equipped with a pressure gauge to control the clamping force.

The printer can optionally be equipped with an automatic clamping force regulator. In this case, the clamping force is stored in the profile.

The printer uses a standard frame mount system. The frame is fixed in special guides. Smaller stencils can be installed in the printer using special adapters. The standard printer supports 23 ”frames (584x584mm).

It is possible to produce a printer for a wider scope by an individual order.

Fixation in this case is carried out using mechanical clamps. The option of pneumatic fixing of the frame is possible.

The combination of the board with the stencil can be done in different ways, depending on the equipment of the printer. In the basic version, such a combination is performed using an optical system of two cameras. This system allows you to remember the reference marks used during the installation process, and then, using the rotation of special handles, combine the pads on the board with them. The optical system is not just a “magnifying glass”, but is processed using the printer software and makes the alignment process simple and intuitive. The printer software contains a special assistant, which in real time graphically shows the error of combining benchmarks in angle and offset. With this assistant, the operator can complete precise alignment in seconds.

A distinctive feature of the design is that it is equipped with an electric table lift. This solution allows for a uniform programmable “separation” of the board from the screen after the process is completed, to adjust the gaps, to print on the protruding elements. This design provides absolute “verticality” of separation, unlike traditional “book” versions of desktop printers.

The patented design of the retractable working unit allows precise optical alignment in contrast to the "book" options that require you to watch "through the aperture".

The operator using the software "sees through the stencil", while simultaneously observing it with the base, which allows you to perform the combination quickly and accurately. A special software “combining assistant” in real time gives hints which handle and which direction to turn. Following the advice of the "assistant", the operator can perform the combination even faster.

When the auto-alignment option is installed, which includes electric drives for fine-tuning the table and a camera with an electric drive, the printer will be able to perform automatic alignment of elements, thereby increasing the speed and operator convenience. When using this option, it is enough to indicate the holes that should be mistaken for reference marks, after which all actions for combining the board are performed automatically. And the technology of the retractable working unit will allow for precise alignment, starting from the very first board, in contrast to semi-automatic printers requiring test printing cycles.

This printer may have the option of 2D inspection of solder paste. It includes special software and is only available when the auto-align option is installed. In this case, the printer after the end of the process is able to conduct inspection of the quality of the application of solder paste. In this case, places with its shortcoming, as well as places of “short circuit”, are automatically detected. The specified information can be automatically used by the printer to clean the template.

The printer can optionally be equipped with a fully programmable multi-function cleaning system. A combination of dry and wet cleaning is possible, with or without vacuum, conventional or with the collection of paste at the end of the aisle.

The cleaning system is equipped with the function of counting the remaining towel for cleaning with a signal when the roll is empty. A sensor is provided to monitor the level of cleaning fluid.

The main direction of work is back and forth. In this case, the printer can perform one or two passes (specified by the program).

The squeegee pressure is manually adjusted by rotating the control knob. When setting the option to automatically maintain the squeegee pressure, this pressure is set and controlled by a computer. In this case, the set pressure is stored in the print profile.

The printer is equipped with advanced software with a multimedia interface.

The interface itself is fully focused on the use of modern touch screen technology, so the use of a traditional keyboard and mouse is not required. The printer interface language is user-configurable. Support for the following languages ​​is currently available: Russian, English. At the request of the user, localization into other languages ​​can be carried out.
